Earthoil’s fair and ethical trade principles are most specific to our community grower projects and Earthoil is currently pursuing independent fair trade for each of its community trade projects:
- Earthoil’s Mount Kenya Project – which involved over 200 farmers growing a variety of vegetable seed and essential oil crops.
- Earthoil’s Indian peppermint project – organic peppermint, spearmint and corn mint project which involved over 500 small-scale farmers.
- Earthoil’s support for the SEOBI (South African Essential Oil Business Incubator) project – involving small-scale farmers in the Northern Province in South Africa. Here skills and expertise are shared by Earthoil so that these farmers can grow a small variety of essential oil crops.
